2. One week of Individual Immersion
Just over one week (8 days) living individually with a carefully chosen family in Hyères, on the Riviera. During this period of complete French language immersion, you will experience authentic French family life.
3. Paris
Take the high speed TGV train to the French capital and enjoy four amazing days of sightseeing, including visits to Notre Dame, the palace of Versailles and the Louvre. Stay in a 4-star hotel close to the Eiffel Tower and enjoy French cuisine at quality restaurants.

Language Partners
To support classroom learning we have a unique Language Partner program – structured conversational sessions with French teens and university students.
Cultural activities

Immersion Week
Unique Individual Immersion on the Riviera
No other program offers you this amazing opportunity. Your spoken French will improve enormously.
This component is what sets ECI apart from other Summer Study Abroad organizations. You will live with a volunteer French family in Hyères, the oldest resort town on the Riviera. No classes, no group activities, no English. Simply one week of French culture, French family life and French language.
This is true language immersion.

In their own words
Student Testimonials
I highly recommend the ECI program. It’s a real taste of French living away from tourism. The teachers were fantastic. Very understanding, very patient, and very knowledgeable. Our chaperones were very friendly, professional, and great to be around. They were eager to teach and help you get the most of your experience. I couldn’t have asked for better trip leaders.
Anastasia Flores
My immersion family was great and very welcoming. They taught me a lot about their culture, customs and daily life. I learned things there that I couldn’t learn in the classroom. France was so pretty and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Laney Meris
My Immersion host family always asked me questions and were interested in what I had to say. I was truly living the culture, which gave me more confidence in speaking French. I made friends that will last me a lifetime. The language class helped me get to know the other students and I loved my teachers.
Mallory Love
Everything was so well organized, and I have come away from ECI with improved French, made great friends, and spent a lovely time abroad.
