Thursday 29th & Friday June 30th

The students and Herr Blumberg had a great time at the Konisgstuhl – 548m above sea level.

Unfortunately it has rained a lot since the group arrived, but in spite of this, spirits are still high!

After viewing the castle from down below in the town, on Thursday the students went on the Berg Bahn (cable car) to catch a glimpse of the inside. A highlight of the castle was climbing into a giant wine barrel!

The tour ended with a magnificent view from the highest point in Heidelberg – the hilltop called the Konisgstuhl.

On Friday the students spent the day shadowing their host family brothers and sisters at the Englisches Institut school, and by all accounts really enjoyed the experience!
