Olé! The Spanish adventure begins

Dave Whiteside - Southern Spain chaperone

Our First Days in Spain’s bustling capital!

We arrived safe and sound in Madrid and have been going strong! After a bit of rest and lunch we all took to the bustling streets of Madrid to get a feel for the numerous plazas, mercados, and beautiful streets!

Touring the City

Today we went from Cibeles to Gran Via, and onto Chueca and Puerta de Sol (y kilometro 0), Huertas, Plaza Santa Ana, Plaza Mayor, and finally Madrid’s famous market, the Mercado de San Miguel! Along the way we had some fruit smoothies, did some shopping, saw a unique live solo concert being filmed, took some pics on a bike, and ended with a delicious spread of Spanish tapas before calling it a night. This group is ready and willing to explore! We are looking forward to a day of visiting the Prado Museum, Reina Sofía Museum, and exploring a new part of Madrid tomorrow!

Hasta luego!
