Enjoying the Sun on the Costa del Sol

Beach volleyball with our language partners

This afternoon, we had our final conversation meetup with our language partners and, like it should be in a Spanish beach town, we spent the afternoon playing beach volleyball and taking a dip in the Mediterranean.

It was a spectacular day here on the southern coast, with plenty of sun and blue skies, which made for the perfect setting for saying goodbye to our language partners.

Water slides and karaoke

Yesterday, we got to experience Aqua Velis, the largest water park on the Costa del Sol, in a nearby pueblo, Torre del Mar. Everyone had a blast trying the various slides or relaxing to “tomando el sol” (sunbathe). Tonight, the group is going to have a chance to show-off their singing voices, as we head to a local karaoke venue. Tomorrow is the last day of classes, and early Saturday morning we’re off to Seville to meet our new “familias” and start our immersion week!

Hasta mañana,
