The final day of the trip!

On our last day in Paris we got up early and headed to Versailles. We explored the beautiful château and then had a yummy picnic in the Versailles gardens. We then headed back to Paris for our last dinner together at an authentic creperie.

This trip was a great experience. Everyone is much more at ease speaking French and loved exploring so many different cities and towns in France. We will all miss the new friends we’ve made during this unforgettable journey!

Nerja July 18th

Hola a todos!

Today was a somewhat bittersweet day as we wrapped up our time here in Nerja, however we still took advantage of the seaside town. In order to celebrate the last day of classes, we went out for a group breakfast of churros and chocolate at a local café then the students had some free time to make one last trip to the beach or do some last-minute shopping.

In the evening, we had our last dinner at the hotel and celebrated Celia’s 16th birthday. She was presented with a card given to her by the rest of the group and opened a present from her mom filled with all different types of goodies. After dinner we went to a “Fiesta Ibicenca” (white party, comes from the island of Ibiza) put on by the language school. The students got dressed up in all white and had a chance say a final good-bye to a number of teachers and classmates that they’ve gotten to know over these last two weeks.

Tomorrow we’re off to Sevilla to start the next chapter of the adventure. We should be arriving to the bus station around 6 pm (local time) where our host families will be waiting for us. There’s a mixture of nerves and excitement looking ahead to this week, but everyone is sure to have a great experience.

Hasta Barcelona!
