Last Night in Spain!

Today we started off with an early morning kayak along the gorgeous shoreline. We kayaked under waterfalls and into caves! We were lucky that it was a bit foggy to avoid too much sun!

After that we took the group to a local pizzeria, which was a big hit.

Afterwards we had a long afternoon of free time for the beach and/or shopping.

For our last dinner we sang cumpleaños feliz to Raquele and then had watched a slideshow that we put together to highlight the many components of the trip!!

We did a round of shout outs and then called it a night!

We are sad to end the trip, but also very excited to return home to our loving families!

This has been an excellent trip.

Hasta luego chicos..Muuuchas Gracias! 🙂

Estamos en la playa!!!! We made it and we are all very happy to be staying on the beach to cool off in the Mediterranean!

Almost immediately after arriving we rushed up to the caves to see one of the largest stalagtites of the world! From here we headed back to the hotel to swim and sunbathe.

We enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner before heading in for an early night. We will need our rest for kayaking tomorrow morning.

Today we arrived in Granada! We started with a tour of the Alhambra! After many photos we headed down to the barrio de Albaicín where the girls bought many pairs of Spanish pants and souvenirs! Afterwards we walked through some very narrow streets towards our fondue restaurant! From here our tour guide picked us up to take us to the flamenco cave show!

It was quite a full day and we are all looking forward to hitting the beach tomorrow in Nerja!

Host Family Immersion in Hyeres

The kids had a blast with their French families! They enjoyed being integrated into “daily French life” – from homemade croissants and quiches to Bastille Day family celebrations and fireworks, the kids were made to feel very welcome in their new “homes”! Many of the families have boats so some of the kids were lucky enough to take day trips to nearby islands such as Porquerolles as well as cruise and schmooze with the chic French in Saint Tropez. Most of all they were speaking only in French so without a doubt their language skills are improving fast! They were  sad to say goodbye to their French families this morning and have hopefully built some lasting relationships that will not soon be forgotten!

Just arrived in Paris today!

After relaxing by the pool in Sevilla, we took a long stroll through the winding streets of Sevilla. We visited the Plaza de España and the Alcazar before landing at our Paella dinner! After dessert we challenged the students to lead the way back to our hotel with the map! This is no easy task in Sevilla as the steets are very small, with many curves and very strange names! However, the group worked together and brought us back to home base.
