Relatively speaking, Salamanca and Nerja are both considered very safe Spanish cities. Late at night, it is not unusual to see families with young children out together in the main squares. Safety is our number one priority, and for this reason we base our programs only in cities that have a reputation for being safe and family-oriented.
As safety can never be taken for granted, we have in place a number of safety-related policies that our chaperones meticulously follow. We also provide our students with a set of rules and guidelines designed for their safety, such as being in pairs whenever possible during free time and encouraging them to make every effort to abide by the curfew and alcohol rules.
